This quick-edit is perfect for individuals looking for structural feedback that is similar to an editorial assessment. In your Manuscript Quick Edit, you’ll receive feedback on your story’s hook, voice, point-of-view, setting, character development, dialogue, prose, etc., plus recommended next steps for your writing journey.
What you’ll need to submit
A maximum of 10 pages (double-spaced/2.0 spacing, 12 pt. Times New Roman, 1 inch margins around) in either MS Word or pdf.
This will need to be from the beginning of your manuscript. (We’ll give feedback with the assumption it’s the first 10 pages of your MS).
You can include up to a 250 word synopsis within the 10 pages. (You cannot submit a separate file, it will need to be contained within those 10 pages).
You’ll receive
a 2-3 page report with what is working well and why, as well as what needs improvement and suggestions for revision.
Valuable insights into how to continue the self-editing process.
Next steps for submission/revision.
(Please note, you will not receive margin notes, a summary video or phone/e-mail conversation, as those are part of separate services. You’ll only receive an editorial critique report.)
