Crafted on a vintage typewriter after reading through your form submission, this poem will be packaged and shipped via USPS priority shipping to the address of your choosing. This gift is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, or a pick-me up for a friend going through a rough time.
Your custom poem gift includes:
- a half page custom poem written on high-quality cotton paper
- a custom message from you, if desired, to be included as a separate, hand-written by Britta card stock message with the poem
- a sealed protective folder that helps prevent the poem from bending in the shipping process
- USPS Priority shipping within the U.S. and its territories (this includes APO, FPO addresses)
- the ability for you to include input on the recipient to help in customizing the poem, via the form, after payment
Turn-around times:
Non-rush season: 2 week turn-around from form submission, to poem creation, shipping and receipt. (Usually January-April)
Rush season: 3-4 week turn-around for the above (Usually May-December)
A few important caveats:
1. No refunds are issued, as we start working on the poem as soon as payment is made.
2. You will need to fill out this form after payment. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you after payment comes through.
3. The custom poem is being created on a vintage typewriter which means there might be tiny errors that are inherently part of the process of creating a poem on a typewriter. Britta will do her best to minimize as well as correct errors; however, recipients of these types of poems understand the nature of receiving a custom, type-written poem will include those minor flaws that are part of writing on a vintage machine.
3) the poem will address the theme or ideas conveyed in the form below, but will also include original writing by Britta that may not include everything written in the form, so that the poem truly is custom to the occasion and ideas that have been communicated from you.
4) every effort will be made to ensure the poem ships in as pristine a state as possible; but due to the nature of shipping anything, we cannot guarantee there won’t be damage in the shipping process, though we package the poems to minimize that possibility, especially against water damage in the case of rain.
5) The poem will likely not include rhyming elements, but instead will be written in a more modern, rhythmic style befitting the information provided in the form linked above.
